This prank will make the victim's car whistle when the engine is running. Bend the side flanges to fit all tail pipes with the exception of over sized pipes. Dual exhaust requires two whistles.
**Reusable**
How many times have you wished you could torture your victim by making him think he has car problems? Well, here's a simple, cheap, and harmless way to annoy the crap out of anybody. The exhaust pipe whistle acts like a reed and when placed in the stream of outgoing exhaust in the car's tailpipe, a loud whistling will occur. This usually has the effect of driving the victim nuts, thinking that there is something wrong with the car.
One time a young man had his mother's car and was visiting one of the neighbor's daughters. We slipped an exhaust whistle into his tailpipe and off he went, only about 100 feet before he stopped. Freaking out, he just knew his mother was going to kill him for whatever the heck he did to her car. We let him off the hook of course, after a bit of torture during which we interrogated him about his driving habits.
One customer wrote in with a story of how he actually got himself fired by putting the whistle in a co-workers car. Coincidentally the car broke down, a complaint was filed and the prankster was suddenly unemployed.
There's another rather mean story of a guy I know who, as an act of revenge, used a broomstick to push the exhaust pipe whistle so deep into the victim's tailpipe that it had to be cut out with a torch.
The exhaust whistle will fit most tailpipes. Just bend the side flanges for a snug fit. When you want to let your mark off the hook, you can fish the whistle out of the tailpipe with a coat hanger and use it again. Use two for dual exhaust vehicles.
